Sleek, lightweight & powerful
This is a really nice Sleek, lightweight & powerful 14″ laptop. I got it to replace Hubby’s Chromebook that is just not powerful enough to do what he needs & comes with a bunch of limitations. The PC format is so much better than Chrome OS for people who do more than just stream movies. He really likes this computer from it’s looks to its speed and function. It is a very sleek & lightweight unit with a crystal clear & bright 14″ WUXGA 1920 x 1200 ultra high-resolution display. Great for streaming movies & graphic design work. It has backlit soft-click keys that are smooth & silent – a big plus for me as he often uses it at night in bed & now I don’t have to listen or feel clicking. It is a cool steel blue color which he LOVES – I know it doesn’t matter really for the guts of the machine but he love the color so is disposed to love the whole machine too.On to the guts – It is a Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 256V with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB SSD & Wi-Fi 6E router. It works fast & smoothly and is able to run/process multiple tasks at the same time. The 16GB RAM is on the smaller side as this level of marching goes but with the AI programming it works speedy & efficiently – I have run it with streaming an action movie, running photo editor software and uploading photos to our photo share app was well as having multiple internet tabs open all at the same time – It switched back & forth between tasks with no lag and kept running all processes with no glitch or stalling. I was happily impressed. The battery life is awesome – he NEVER plugs his computers in. This unit will run 5 days at about 4hrs a day of use before it drops below 20% – great for his needs. It charges up quick too – jumps +50% in 1hr of charging.I appreciated how easy it was to set up – just logged in with his MS user ID and it loaded up with all the info he needed. It was a pretty quick process to set up too – It ran quickly on our WiFi and even the update was super fast. I appreciate that it does not come with a bunch of add on programming and apps and just crap that ends up being stuff you have to delete and re-program off defaults. There are very minimal pop-up prompts which I personally appreciate – I know how to use a computer & really hate all the nanny-handholding pop-ups. The AI programming is helpful but not intrusive – has a clean interface and is easy to tone down or up to the level of interaction that you want.If you are looking for a powerful but smaller size laptop that is top of it’s class processor & programming wise this is a great value for a great machine. It has been an incredible upgrade for Hubby & he loves it.

Good enough for general work applications.
I’ve been using this laptop for a couple of month, mostly for work with no problems at all. I haven’t had a chance to really push it’s capabilities. I knocked off one star it seems to be a little over priced.

Frustratingly small keyboard — 799 is too much to pay for this item.
ACER makes great laptops, but this model is different, as it is very small, light and powerful, and the keyboard really takes getting used to — my hands are an average size, this keyboard feels as if it was created for a 13-year old. I paid $799 for it using Amazon monthly payments and overall, I paid too much. I have used an Acer Nitro V for 10 years and even though the battery lasts about two hours now, it performs completely reliably, never a problem. Just letting people know, you may have to buy an external keyboard so you don’t lose your mind constantly having to correct your typing errors.

Functional laptop with new tech features
I have another Acer laptop that I purchased a few years ago, so I was happy to upgrade to this new 2025 model year. The laptop has all of the usual bells and whistles – a sleek exterior with a grey aluminum chassis and smooth hinges that allow for opening/closing the laptop with total ease up to 180 degrees; 14 inch LCD display with 1920×1200 pixels resolution that looks sharp and clear. And it’s incredibly lightweight and thin, easy to handle/carry with just one hand.As for specs, the hard drive is 1000 GB, Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 256V at 2.2 GHz speed (noted as providing up to 4.8 GHz), 2 Thunderbolt USB-C ports, 2 USB 3.2 ports, 1 HDMI 2.1 port, Wifi 6E (the most current), Bluetooth 5.3 with LE audio support, 1 headset port, 16 GB “Onboard LPDDR5X Memory”, 1 TB “PCIe Gen 4 SSD”, 1080p IR camera, Windows 11, and extended battery life up to 22-hours (also relative to power draining settings like screen brightness, etc.). How this all equates to actual performance –The battery life on a full charge is indeed nearly a full day of continuous use in my experience thus far with the screen brightness just below the middle range; of special note, when the battery is low, working on the laptop while it’s plugged into a portable charger was a no-go as it made the laptop function strangely with significant lag times for some reason, plugging into a standard AC outlet and using it was fine, however. The speed is indeed fast, I typically have 30+ tabs open in Chrome along with other apps open that I’m toggling between while working, and with sufficient battery life I didn’t encounter any lagging or slow response times (that could be attributed to the laptop’s performance vs. being network issues). The keyboard is backlit and that does indeed help me in dimmer settings when needing to glance at my keyboard (I don’t need to hunt/peck to type, my keyboarding skills are fluent). I also like the tactile feeling of the keys, and they’re responsive, no lagging behind or hesitation as I type. The touchpad is very responsive and easy to use. No overheating observed while using the laptop for several hours with and without it being plugged into a wall outlet. It also has Copilot+PC features that I’ve not yet delved into, but I’m pleased that the laptop has the functionality available for me to use when/if desired. “Copilot” is basically meant to enhance AI powered tasks and provide faster/improved performance and battery life through a neural processing unit (NPU) that can complete operations directly on the device versus using cloud processing. Added features like “Recall” takes periodic screenshots of the laptop automatically and AI is then able to process that content so that it’s searchable later by keywords or timeline; “Cocreator” is an AI driven feature that will refine your drawings and blend with text instructions to create new images; “Live Captions” is real-time closed captioning, including language translation of more than 40 languages into English. These are all interesting and seemingly useful features that I may later play around with to determine their intrinsic value to/for me as adjuncts to my laptop.Overall, this is a workhorse laptop with great added features and functionality for the price point. Definitely worth it in my view and recommended!

totally blown away
No project is too big or too small for this beast. Game dev by trade and the integration of ai into this machine makes my production time flow quicker than water. It starts up near instantly. Programs open instantly. Ai remembers previous tasks and you call upon them. The speed at which this thing works is 1x better than my desktop that’s not even 2 years old yet. This thing is so light weight. I didn’t realise i was carrying it in my backpack one day. Set up is super easy. You can chose which ai programs you want enabled. Like for me, I don’t use the face scanner, because I keep the camera covered. But I turn on all the other AI features. It’s totally up to you. I haven’t charged it since the day I got it and somehow it still has over 50% battery. I was shocked that the price was very reasonable for what you receive. AI is the future!

Good MS Copilot capable Windows laptop
This would be a good laptop for a student or road warrior who doesn’t need to do heavy graphics. The Intel Arc co-processor is fine for Steam or Xbox online gaming, and Intel is always good for transcoding videos, but the co-processor shared memory with the CPU, so there will be some limitations. For office applications like word processing and spreadsheets this is terrific. The screen is clear and the webcam works well. The Wi-Fi 6E connects to the wireless network at top speeds if your access point supports it. The keyboard is easy to type on and the trackpad works well, although I prefer using a mouse. The Thunderbolt 4 ports mean that you’ll be able to power this with any USB-C PD capable power supply as well as connect to video sources and external hard drives at top speeds. The internal speakers aren’t much to talk about, but the Bluetooth support is solid, so your movies and music will sound fine with an appropriate Bluetooth speaker or headset. At the list price of $979 this is a decent value, but when on sale it becomes a more compelling choice. This might also make a good option to connect to a big screen TV for media consumption.

Great for school and gaming
The media could not be loaded.
This Acer was easy to set up and the battery life is great, we can go almost 2 days without charging. It’s lightweight and the screen/visuals are clear. The fans are not loud and the quality is impressive. Great for school work and runs Minecraft and Steam games without any issues.

Decent not great not Intel’s fault
Overall, this is a decent laptop. I can’t recommend it though.Overall, the laptop when it does work is smooth it’s fast it’s responsive . It handles casual games with no problem. I played Halo in 2005 battlefront two.The battery last a very long time it charges very easily. The charger is awesome. It’s a good length and it goes by type C.Connectivity ports on the side are fantastic. Does not come with an ethernet jack, though I really think these companies need to start including a dongle if they’re not gonna put an ethernet jack on the laptop. The laptop is great for every day work and some casual games at the end of the day within reason .I love the keyboard compared to other laptops. It has good haptic feedback. It’s back lit. The function. Keys are enabled at start. The volume key is on the left. The touchpad works well. Had a little bit of trouble with the gestures beyond that works great. The Wi-Fi speed is acceptable . I had a little bit of trouble connecting to my network at first I did some troubleshooting. I was fine after that. The screen is lackluster. It has a yellow hue to it. I went through and calibrated this to the best I could to make it look normal and like every other cleaning crisp screen that I use on a daily basis, I couldn’t quite get it there, but it looks better.Out of the box, there’s a lot of bloatware in windows that you’re gonna have to get rid of.If you’re experienced enough, I would recommend you get a clean cut down version of Windows 11 or 10 and you do a fresh install yourself. I did have some trouble with the Intel graphics app where it would stop displaying that I had the graphics processor and stop letting me change things. After playing a game or anything like that. The laptop stays cool and quiet, even under heavy load the fan does have a noticeable coil whine. I noticed that it’s a little annoying.Speakers are decent they work pretty well if you have the speakers on while you’re playing a game you won’t notice the coil whine.I’ve been using this laptop for a couple weeks now on a daily basis . I’ve had a number of issues why I can’t recommend it. The second day I went to go use it it blue screen on me. Twice. It happened so quick I couldn’t even find the error. Third time it booted it came up fine. I have seen a noticeable lag sometimes when doing everyday tasks after resuming. Especially on the battery. Nothing that would stop you from working though. I have not been able to pinpoint what’s causing this yet.It is very light and portable. The chassis feel sturdy.Beyond the odd quirks and issues that I have experienced with this, I am still using it every day working through these problems I do believe that a clean install of the operating system would probably get rid of every issue that I am facing.I am excited that this laptop exists with Intel’s current hardware, though I really appreciate a competitor in this space

Super sleek and very fast
I am really impressed with this Acer… a brand i have purchased before and they always deliver. Battery life is very long even in balanced mode i can get multiple 6+ hour sessions before a recharge. Its light for its size and built well too. Setup was super easy and i walked right through it. Everything is functioning as i expect as i learn more about its CPU, GPU and NPU capabilities. No touch screen, but not an issue for me. Would recommend!

Very nice machine
Great Machine to get AI on a lower high end laptop. There is another version of this one with a fingerprint reader, but this one doesn’t have that. Seems to be identical otherwise, so a good value for the money. Functions exactly as it should, nice and speedy, no issues. VERY Easy to setup, especially if you are coming with an existing Microsoft account with backups. lightweight, opens and closes well.
