A premier book on financial investment

Simple and practical explanation of different financial investment terms. From the time I open the first few pages to the last one, the information just keep pouring in. Unlike other financial books that are daunting to the newbies, the author explained things in a simplified manner. Things became clearer to me and I can move on to more advance books. A must read for all that wish to learn about investment.

It takes more than a book, but at least you bought the book.

These information books are great, but when it comes to the stock market, you need every bit of information you can find and you probably will still loose your investment or get lucky today and and tomorrow and make a million bucks.

    Goodness Formatting Issues

It was hammered into my brain to review this book on Amazon on literally every page so I am. Instead of using the space on the top of the page to beg us to review the book, I suggest that you put on the top of the page: The chapter # and title. This book has good information but I almost put it down many times because of the unprofessional nature of insisting on a review on every single page and poor formatting. I would have if a friend hadn’t recommended it.I’m a self published author too, and I would never beg for reviews like this. Please also break up the sections in a chapter. Put the page numbers on the bottom of the page in the center. And finally, place your conclusion before the glossary. See images in the review for suggestions. If you reformatted the book and removed the begging this would receive 5 stars from me for content, but information needs to be presented in a professional way.

Just What I Was Looking For!

I was looking for a book that would explain stock market investing in simple terms. No fluff or b.s.. Sentences are to the point. I did not have to read between the lines to figure what the author meant. Paragraphs are easy to read and digest. Many examples are given. I’m more than half way through the book and I’m excited to get to the rest.

SO SO SO MANY INCONSISTENCIES AND TYPOS

Much like some of the other books that have strange publishers that seem to print out the book on demand the day you order it, this book is littered with inconsistent wording and dozens upon dozens upon dozens of MAJOR typos. I’m not talking about a missing letter in a word once or twice throughout the book, but rather egregious typos that change the whole meaning of a sentence or paragraph. Missing words, and in many cases using the incorrect word which actually gives the opposite meaning to the sentence as intended! Also, there are several occasions where there is one sentence in a section that says one thing, then the very next sentence the exact opposite is said when explaining a concept. A few examples representing the many types of typos and inconsistencies are:- Twenty 5% (this is just annoying)- Referring to the stock market trading session within the “day trading” section as open from 9:30-4 (correctly) in one sentence, and then alluding to it being open from 9-4 in the very next paragraph. And then referring to it in the “extended after hours trading” section of chapter 7 as being open from 9-4:30 in one paragraph while alluding to after hours trading hours 4:15-8:00P and 8:00-9:15A in the next paragraph.- Several of the glossary terms are just a mess when compared to what was covered in the chapters. Some of the glossary terms were also not even covered at all in the chapters.- There are a couple of occurrences where numbers don’t add up right, but there one of the IRA sections was pretty egregious and made the section make little sense.I’m not saying you can’t extract some very basic info about investing from this book, and there are parts that are explained decently, but with so many mistakes and with clearly very little to no proof reading or editing of the book having taken place, the overall credibility of the book suffers and you have to ask yourself “what other info is wrong in the book?”.

Concise but would could use images

I’m new to investing. This book is easy to read and not overwhelming. The only thing that would make it better would be images that explain trends. More images of examples would be helpful.
